Disable Pricing in RentPress


There are many reasons you may want to disable the display of pricing on your website. Perhaps your data provider is experiencing an error, or maybe you want to keep the details of a specific layout under wraps for a period of time. You have a couple options in RentPress.

Disable pricing by floor plan

If you’re looking to target just one floor plan:

  1. You can add in an override for the rent pricing at Floor Plans > Choose floor plan > Edit > Property Min Rent
  2. Enter in the prices you want and click the Override checkbox next to the text field

  3. Depending on your needs, you may need to Override information stored in other fields on this edit page as well
  4. Click the Update button to save your changes


Disable pricing for floor plans with no availability

For floor plans with no availability:

  1. Visit RentPress > Feed Configuration > Disable Pricing.
  2. Click the checkbox to Disable Pricing on Floor Plans with no available units

  3. At the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.

Disable pricing for a property

If you’re looking to target one property:

  1. From your WordPress Dashboard, visit Properties > Your Property > Edit
  2. At the top of the edit page, click the Disable Pricing option

  3. Click the Update button to save your changes.


Disable pricing across an entire website

If you’re looking to disable pricing across your entire site

  1. Visit RentPress > Feed Configuration > Disable Pricing
  2. Click the checkbox to Disable All Pricing. For the included templates, this will replace the displayed price with the message “Call for pricing” instead. Or, you can enter in a custom message in the text field.

  3. At the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.


Disable lease term pricing

To manage Lease Term Pricing, you have two options:

  1. First, visit RentPress > Feed Configuration > Disable Lease Term Pricing
  2. Then you can choose to not display Lease Term Pricing across your entire site with the Disable Lease Term Pricing setting

  3. Alternately, you can enter in the ID’s for properties, floor plans, and units with the Disable Specific Lease Term Pricing setting

    • Property ID’s are the same as their Property Codes, and can be found on the Edit screen for any property
    • Floor Plan ID’s are listed in the Floor Plan ID field on the Edit screen for any floor plan
    • Unit ID’s are listed in the Unit Code column on the Units page. It can help to narrow down the table by using the filter options to find units by price, size or property. Note that a Unit ID could be different from a unit’s number or name.
    • Note that using the Disable Lease Term Pricing checkbox will supersede any ID’s entered in this field
  4. At the bottom of the page, click Save Changes
    • Note that using either of these settings to disable lease term pricing will have the pricing shown reflect your choice in the Unit Rent Price Type setting.

Restore pricing

To restore pricing, simply revert any of the changes you made in any of the above steps. Then you can request a resync of your data to get the latest pricing.
