AppFolio Client Considering Partnering with RentPress? Here’s What You Need to Know!

AppFolio clients can leverage the power of AppFolio Stack to seamlessly connect property data with RentPress. By utilizing the AppFolio API, we access and import critical property and listing data, simplifying property marketing and ensuring consistency across your online platforms.

This guide explains:

  • The specific data imported from AppFolio into RentPress.
  • How that data integrates with RentPress to enhance property marketing.
  • Requirements to get started.

How the Integration Works

AppFolio API Endpoints Used

We utilize the following endpoints:

  • Properties: Includes essential property-level information like name, address, and Portfolio ID.
  • Listings: Focused on marketing-specific unit data, such as rent, availability, and photos. Unlike the Units endpoint, which is accounting-focused, Listings emphasizes marketing.

Data Filtering

To align with AppFolio’s recommendations, we request only data from units marked as PostedToWebsite. This ensures accuracy and relevance for marketing.

Requirements

To activate the integration, clients need:

  1. An AppFolio Stack subscription.
  2. The following API credentials from AppFolio:
    • Client ID
    • Client Secret
    • Property IDs
  3. An active RentPress subscription.
