How to Add a Property

Overview

This document details the process for adding a new property listing to your WordPress website using the RentPress plugin.

Types of Property Listings

RentPress supports two types of properties. Before adding a property, determine which type fits your needs:

  • Static Listings: Manually-entered content that you update yourself. The ability to add static pages is available immediately after you install the RentPress plugin.
  • Dynamic Listings: Real-time pricing and availability synced directly from your property management system. To upgrade to dynamic listings, you must purchase a monthly RentPress subscription. Click here to get started.

How to Add a Static Property

For step-by-step instructions on manually adding and formatting a new property listing, please see our article: How To Add a Property Manually.

How to Add a Dynamic Property

Each property management software handles data feeds differently, but the general workflow remains the same:

  1. Gather Data Credentials: Collect the necessary data credentials from your specific property management software.
  2. Submit Credentials: Send the credentials to your 30 Lines Account Manager or submit a RentPress order form. We will add the properties to our system and return a RentPress license key.
  3. Update Settings and Sync: Navigate to RentPress > Data Sync, click Save Settings, add your new license key, and run a manual resync by clicking Sync Properties. Note: All new properties will be added to the site under “Properties” as unpublished drafts.
  4. Review and Enhance: Verify that the synced information is accurate. For the best results, fill in any remaining fields (e.g., featured amenities, gallery shortcodes, additional search keywords). See Property Editor and Content Fields for details.
  5. Publish: Click Publish on the draft to make your new dynamic listing live with real-time pricing and availability.
